Fractions and Decimals
If the calculator returns a fraction, you can return a decimal approximation by:
Write $\displaystyle \frac{2}{7}$ correct to 6 decimal places:
To approximate a decimal to a fraction,
- press menu > "2 Number" > "2 Approximate to Fraction"
Calculate $0.35\times0.1875$ and write the answer as a fraction:
Display Digits
To change the number of digits displayed for answers,
- Press doc ▾ > "7 Settings & Status" > "2 Document Settings..."
Change "Display Digits" to "Float 6"
This will give answers to 6 significant figures. Use "Float 6" for the rest of this page.
Brackets, Negatives, Exponents and Roots
Calculate the following:
- $-3-3$ (The first $-$ is negative (-). The second $-$ is subtract -)
- $-3-(-3)$
- $-3(-3)$
- $-3^2$
- $(-3)^2$
- $(-3)^3$ (^ for exponents)
- $\sqrt{3}$
- $\sqrt{-3} =$ Error: Non-real calculation
- $\sqrt[3]{3}$
Calculate to 6 significant figures: $\displaystyle\frac{3-3^\frac{-3}{\sqrt{3}}}{\left(\sqrt[3]{3}\right)^{-3(-3)}}=$
Using the previous answer
- Enter $1+2$ then press enter
- Type + $3$ then press enter
- Type + $4$ then press enter
- Type $1$ ÷ ctrl (-) then press enter

To modify this calculation,
